Oversee all aspects of a retail thrift store’s operations, including staff management, donation processing
and pricing, maintaining an appealing sales floor presentation, and providing administrative control.
As Retail Thrift Store Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing all elements of the
store’s operations. To build a high-performing and cohesive team, you will be responsible for effective
personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, and monitoring. You will be in charge of
managing the donation processing and pricing, guaranteeing proper value and a visually appealing
display on the sales floor. Maintaining an aesthetically beautiful and well-organized sales floor will be a
main goal to improve consumers’ overall shopping experiences. In addition, you will offer administrative
control by overseeing inventory, financial reporting, and other critical administrative duties. Your
complete strategy will help the shop succeed by fostering an efficient and customer-friendly
atmosphere while reaching organizational objectives.

Retail Logistics Oversight:

  • Oversee retail logistics, inventory, and accomplishment of store performance objectives.
  • Supervise the complete process of managing donated items, from the donation door to the
    manufacturing area, sales floor, and outlet/recycling preparations.
  • Arrange and display products on the sales floor.
  • Supervise the manufacturing and pricing of donated items.
  • Ensure that the retail atmosphere is safe and clean.
    WAGES:
  • The wage offered is $29.00 with the possibility of incentive pay.
    Leadership and Supervision:
  • Provide great client service.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the store’s management staff.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage employees, including terminations as appropriate.
  • Collaborate as a cohesive team to meet budget and production goals.
    Administrative supervision:
  • Maintain conformity with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting to many departments, such as human resources, asset
    protection, safety, and finance.
  • Complete the necessary safety checks.
  • Manage the store’s budget, staffing, and target accomplishment.
    Requirements:
  • Showcase exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Have expertise in personnel supervision and recruitment.
  • Preferably with retail management experience.
  • Demonstrate computer competency by using email, intranet, data entry metrics programs,
    Microsoft Word, webinar/conference call participation, and so forth.
  • Demonstrate expertise in budget management and tracking.
  • Demonstrate great leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
    Physical prerequisites:
  • Capable of interacting successfully in English with employees and consumers.
  • Capable of moving independently inside the institution or with moderate assistance.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying 20 to 100 pounds with teamwork or mechanical aid.
  • Capable of standing, stooping, bending, or carrying for long durations.
  • Tolerant of high temperature and humidity variations.
  • To meet the demands of the Goodwill shop, employees may be needed to work more than 40
    hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and longer shifts.
  • Must have dependable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver’s licence, and
    evidence of personal car insurance.
  • Must pass a background and DMV check.
    Experience:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience, ideally in the retail industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
