China Business Visa
A Chinese business visa, otherwise called an M visa, is a visa given by China that permits foreign citizens to enter the country for business and trade exercises.

Purpose of Visa:
Business meetings, seminars, visiting clients, startups, trade fairs, and other activities.
Validity:
- Standard: Typically valid for 3 months.
- Extended: US citizens may be eligible for a 10-year multiple-entry visa
Who Needs It
Anyone who wants to work related to his business in China can apply for it, except for Chinese citizens.
Activities Allowed in China with Business Visa:
- Contract negotiations
- Trade shows or conference attendance
- Market research
- Factories visits or other business establishment purposes
Business Visa is Not For:
- Employment in China
- Studying in China
- Tourism or Leisure Travel
Required Documents
- Passport: The passport must be valid and for 6 months beyond the requested visa stay. Passports have at least two blank pages for the visa stamps and must be in good condition.
- Photographs: There are online methods available for the photographs to be submitted. You must meet strict requirements, and check online official websites.
- The photo must be recent, not older than six months with a white background.
- Full front view and centered face.
- Expression should be neutral, eyes open, mouth closed, and visible ears.
- No light in the background, no shadows, glasses or jewelry, and no headwear except for religious purposes.
- Do not wear a white shirt.
- While submitting a photo physically make sure the size is 489mm x 33mm, high-quality print, and should not be blurred and unattached.
Letter of Invitation:
Letter of invitation from the company, the template is provided on the website where the application form is filled.
Business Cover Letter
Required form the company letterhead. Use the template for this letter provided by officials.
Proof of State Residency: A copy of your driver’s license/government ID or a utility bill (electric, gas, water) displaying your name and current address as provided on the application. Phone/cable bills are not accepted.
China Visa Service Center Order Form: Included in the application kit.
Visa Application Form
- Complete the visa application form online filling all the required fields with your name matching exactly with your passport.
- Must be printed on a single side of the paper and signed with black or blue ink.
- Attach all other documents that are required.
- Signature of declaration confirmation page.
- Go to the official website of the China Visa Service Center for more assistance and intel.
Previous Visa:
- Submit a copy of your most recent Chinese Visa (If required)
- If the visa is not in your current passport make sure to provide an original passport that contains the previous Chinese visa.
- If you do not have a passport with a previous visa you must provide a signed statement that will explain what happened to your visa.

China Visa Validity:
- The chinses visa grants a ten-year visa to those candidates who have at least one year remaining passport validity.
- Less than a year of validity will result in a six-month visa.

Applicants with Criminal Record:
Those candidates who have criminal records will be required to appear in person at the embassy or consulate for their biometrics and other details.
Where you Stay Form:
Make sure you submit a signed and complete “where you stay” form that will be included in the application kit.
Military Statement:
Required in the event that you have at any point served in the military (active, reserves, retired). Complete the Statement OF DECLARATION MILITARY SERVICE form included in the kit.
