What is a Short Stay Business Visa?

A short-stay business visa, otherwise called a “C” visa, permits you to go to Ireland for business purposes for as long as 90 days. This visa is reasonable for exercises like going to gatherings, negotiating arrangements, or working for a brief period (as long as 14 days).

Who Needs This Visa?

The short-stay business visa is required in certain cases if you are;

A resident of a nation requiring a visa to enter Ireland
Traveling on a convention travel document issued by certain countries.

Important: Each traveler or visitor on a business visa is required to submit a separate visa application and for minors, required applications or documents must be submitted by their guardians.

Activities not permitted under this visa
Working for over 14 days total during your 90-day stay. 
Depending on Irish public administrations, like public clinics.

Applying for a Short Stay Business Visa

  1. Prepare Your Application
    It is required to prepare and submit your application three months before traveling.
    Gather the required documents, which will be mentioned in this article later.
    Decide whether it’s a single entry or multiple entry. Single entry for one planned trip and multiple if you are going to make several visits within that validity period.
  2. Create an Online Application

Visit AVATS, the Irish Online-based Application Facility, through a web search.
 Select “Short Stay (C)” for the visa type, “Business” for the reason behind the travel, and your picked journey type. 
Answer all questions genuinely and completely.

Submit the Application Summary

Upon finishing, you will get a page with significant data, including Visa Application Transaction Number Application summary sheets (print, sign, and date these) 
Application office address (where to send required documents.

Pay the Visa Application Fee

Fees differ depending on single or multiple-entry visas. 
Contact your application office for specific installment strategies and cash options. 
A few candidates are excluded from the expenses of the Visa Application.

Send Your Documents (within 30 days of online application)

Make sure to submit the original documents and not photocopies to the accredited application office.
It required that documents must be translated into English if not already in English by certified translators.
Make sure you are not submitting documents using a USB, a flash drive, a memory card, or any file-sharing platform.

Valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your intended stay.
Two recent passport-sized photos.
Completed and signed application form.
Printed and signed application summary sheets.
Proof of travel and accommodation bookings.
Proof of sufficient financial means to support your stay (bank statements, etc.).
Evidence of your business purpose:
Letter from your employer confirming your business trip to Ireland.
Invitation letter from an Irish business partner, if applicable.
Meeting agenda or other relevant documents demonstrating your business activities.
Proof of health insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000.

Additional notes

Marriage, birth, and death certificates will be returned to the applicant after processing, but you can request them to return other documents by sending them the list of those documents.
Incomplete applications may be rejected. Even with complete documentation, a visa is not guaranteed.

After You Apply

Once you apply you will receive a notification from the authorities after the application is received. 
The process time of this application will take up to eight weeks.
If other documents are required by the authorities they will contact you so make sure you have submitted the correct information.
A passport may also be requested for the official authentication process.
An Garda Síochána (Irish police) or other agencies may be contacted for verification purposes.

Important Reminders

Try not to include bogus or deceiving data for your application. This could prompt dismissal and potential future visa limitations. Buy travel tickets solely after accepting your visa. A visa permits you to head out to Ireland yet doesn’t ensure passage. Immigration authorities at the border have the last say.
