🗒 Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant at Hermes you will be responsible for managing all the finances of the retail, and accounting processes along with handling payables & receivables, reconciliation and tax activities, along with executing monthly/annual closings. Making sure to comply fully with Italian standards such as GAAP and other group standards.
- Accounts Payable
Being a senior accountant your job is to receive supplier invoices and process them on regular basis along with verifying contact terms, and accuracies against PO. Senior Accountant deals with vendors and its important to keep record of vendors and follow procurement procedures and workflow in SAR and COUPA.
Apart from aforementioned tasks managing statements, keeping track of expenses and payroll entries also fall under the jurisdiction of Senior Accountant meanwhile maintaining good relationships with vendors and suppliers helps with a lot of work.
- Accounts Receivable
Accounts receivable responsibilities are different but equally important. A senior accountant after being hired at Hermes would be responsible for the generation of billing invoices, statements, and AR ledger maintenance. Internal stakeholders and their report generation are also key responsibilities of this role. Collection of track status and cash flow projection are key too.
- General Accounting & Closing
Other responsibilities are general accounting tasks like ensuring that all the transactions are correct, tax entry prepreration are adjusted. Supporting accounts that are statutory, and audit processes. Being a senior accountant you will be interacting with tax advisors and lawyers all the time, coordinating with them in right manner is important since taxes must be filed on time.
