JOB DESCRIPTION
As a school bus driver, the main task that you will be performing is the safe transportation of children to school and back home. This involves driving on designated routes, being punctual in arrival, and being very strict on safety as people board and get off the bus. You will be mandated to conduct daily inspections of the bus, to watch over student behaviour when driving, and coordinate with school staff in ensuring smooth and of course, secure transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Operating Mioglia school bus routes.
- Getting students into and out of stops safely.
- Abiding by local municipal schedules.
- Safety checks on a daily basis.
- Watching over young passengers and guaranteeing an orderly passage.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to comply with strict Italy licensing and certification requirements in passenger transportation to qualify to perform this job.
- An authentic Patente D (heavy vehicle operator licence).
- An approved CQC persone (Certificato di Qualificazione del Conducente to passengers).
- Prior driving experience is most preferable; one year of passenger work is the usual requirement.
- Very responsible and on time. Child-safety awareness.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
This is a part time position based around the school day. The work is expected in mornings and afternoons, according to the schedule of students. This contract is only valid for a year (which can be extended based on performance), making it best for those who are seeking seasonal employment.
- Workload: About 10 hours/week, with the route length depending.
- Pay: Advertised pay range of EUR15,000- EUR18,000 per year.
