Understudy Pass holders can bring: 

Legal spouse (husband/wife)
Children under 21 years old (biological, adopted, or stepchildren)
Dependent children of any age with a disability

What Documents Do You Want?

 The application cycle requires a few records, including 

Two recent visa-estimated photographs of the candidate.
Duplicate of relatives’ travel papers/passport (legitimate for something like a year (12 months) from the expected appearance date) 
Confirmation of family relationship (marriage authentication, birth certificate, and so forth.) 
Duplicates of your Business or Understudy Pass Installment receipt for the Family Visa expense.
Application form (IMM.12 and IMM.38).

How to Apply:
The application process for a Malaysian Family Visa differs, and it depends upon whether you hold an employment pass or a student pass:

Employment Pass Holder:
This pass holder can apply for the family visa either using their initial work pass application or after the approval of it. The immigration department of Malaysia will deal with this process, you or your employer can submit the family visa application to the immigration office of Malaysia.

Student Pass Holder:
The process for student visa holders is slightly different than the other. Here your university/educational institution will handle the application on your end through the official website of EMGS, this can only be done after you are issued the student pass.

After Your Application Is Approved

Once your application process is approved by the immigration department either through employment or student pass, they will issue the visa approval letter (VAL) to your family members. This letter will be used to apply for a Malaysia Visa at concerning Malaysian embassy or consulate in the country where your family is applying visa. 

Upon Arrival in Malaysia
Once the visa application process is complete and it is approved. You will travel to Malaysia where after arrival your family members will need to submit their passports to the immigration department to receive the Family Pass sticker. On the other hand, if you are a student pass holder, your school or educational department may handle this process.

Important Things to Remember
The family pass is valid for the same period your work or student pass is valid for and can be renewed similarly.
Family visa holders are not eligible to work in Malaysia, they will need to apply for an employment pass if they want to work in Malaysia.
