We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and friendly individual to join our team as a Cashier. This position plays a vital role in creating a positive customer experience by efficiently processing transactions and providing friendly service in a professional environment. As the first and last point of contact for many customers, the Cashier is responsible for representing our brand with a helpful attitude, attention to detail, and a strong sense of integrity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in handling cash and card transactions, a solid understanding of customer service principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail or service environment. This role also involves supporting the team with stocking, cleaning, and ensuring a smooth and organized store operation.

Job Responsibilities:

Warmly greet all customers as they arrive and ensure a welcoming and professional environment.

Operate cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale (POS) equipment with accuracy and efficiency.

Accurately process cash, credit/debit, gift card, and mobile payments while ensuring correct change and receipt issuance.

Verify pricing, scan items, and apply discounts or loyalty rewards where applicable.

Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.

Maintain a clean and organized checkout area including counters, equipment, and displays.

Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions balance and discrepancies are reported.

Follow established procedures for opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and reporting.

Comply with all company policies regarding cash handling, security, and safety.

Assist with store merchandising, inventory counts, product restocking, and basic cleaning duties when needed.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure overall customer satisfaction and efficient store operations.

Demonstrate knowledge of products, promotions, and store layout to guide and assist customers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail or hospitality is a plus.

Prior experience in a cashier, customer service, or retail role preferred.

Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure or in stressful situations.
